With the advancement of the national power grid and the increasing requirements for conductor current-carrying capacity in high-voltage line projects, conductor cross-sections have steadily grown larger. Consequently, the groove-bottom diameters of stringing sheaves have gradually expanded—progressing from 560, 710, 800, and 900 mm to 1000 mm. In such environments, large-diameter stringing sheaves present considerable challenges: they are bulky and heavy, difficult to transport, and entail high procurement costs. To address this situation, the development of a compact, lightweight, detachable, and cost-effective multi-wheel combination sheave holds profound significance for Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) construction, representing a revolutionary advancement in construction methodology.
